Minikins Market was thought up and created by Liz Muir, a Silicon Valley mom who wanted to provide a better option for buying and selling baby and children’s quality clothes and toys. Buying and selling pre-loved items online is time consuming for all involved due to the nature of selling one item at a time. Selling at consignment sales takes a large percentage from the seller, and prices are usually higher for the buyer.
So, a unique, one-of-a-kind opportunity was created to bring together parents from all over Silicon Valley to sell baby and children’s clothes, toys and gear. Parents set their own prices, and earn 100% of what they make on market day.
Why the Name, Minikins?
“Minikin” means “young child,” or “darling.” And, if you break the word into its parts, ”mini” means “small” and “kin” means “family.”
And so, Minikins Market in San Jose was born. A market for our darling young children, the small ones of our family!
